ahhh, no wrong answer. I don't know were you live, but here you need to get permits for shit like that. I would want to live next door to a guy that runs goat fucking swinger club.

Shit, in Cali we can barely smoke outside anymore.

No bars, restraunts, and now in my city HB, smoking has been banned west of PCH on the beach and pier.

It cramps your style for a bit, but you get used to it pretty quick.

CCBill Paul 03-30-2008 09:56 AM

It's time to quit I think

i think that is great, they don't want minors being around smoke, and if you allow only adults it is your choice

I am a smoker, and i respect people that don't by not being rude about my smoke, but I DO NOT think the government should have ANY say about what you can and can't do in your business...ESPECIALLY if you own the fucking building

You are right:thumbsup

No smoking here in England and I love it. In The Netherlands, where smoking in bars and restaurants will be banned per July 1st, I always had to "plan" what clothes to wear, because they'd stink, even after a few minutes of being inside. The smell of alcohol that scottybuzz is talking about isn't all that bad and is infinitely better than the thick smoke that used to hang around...

Spunky 03-30-2008 10:05 AM

The place I frequent has set up a tent on the patio.I think it will work out if they don't get complaints from the hotel right beside the place.probably wont last as you get 100 people outside and extra security has to monitor it.I don't know how the waitress's could handle serving in that smoking room..just like a cloud and it is disgusting

aztecboi2003 03-30-2008 10:21 AM

No smoking in bars and restaurants here in Seattle. I heard there was talk of a law against smoking in your car also. I think they said if you had children in the car it would be against the law. I didn't get the whole story but I think they said Cali had a similar law.

F-U-Jimmy 03-30-2008 10:26 AM

No smoking in San Diego and next i hear they are banning farting:thumbsup

amateur-skin 03-30-2008 10:30 AM

Second hand smoke effects everyone around smokers. Fuck that. If you want to get lung cancer, do it in private. I don’t want any part of it.

Crown Casino in Melbourne has been smoke free for a few years. We don't visit often so it was a surprise to walk in and not find yourself immersed in the haze and stench of stale smoke.

I think nightclubs and restaurants are also smoke free these days.

Who remembers smoking on aircraft?

J. Falcon 03-30-2008 10:44 AM

Thankfully it's not allowed.

Its human rights ,freedom of choice

If you really wanted to push the issue look at it this way, technology exsists to now make mine shafts safe from toxic gases using air filter equipment, a law could have been made to make owners meet a certain level of air quality instead of outlawing smoking.

Next Fact; My Mother gave up smoking last year she had her blood toxins monitored and they dropped after she stopped smoking for the first 3 months (well that was expected) then they increased ? why she asked?
the clinic said because of the extra time she had walked around the city was their best guess (pollution from cars etc) go figure !!

And for all the rest of the non smoking crowd....lets ban alcohol too ? I hate seeing people drink driving and killing people ..I hate to see people vomiting at 2 am in the morning in streets .....ask the local police hours they spend on drink related incidents...

Am I anti drink ? because I don't drink? NO ..so for all those non smokers who bitch...shut the fuck up :1orglaugh everyone has a right to choose even though I don't do either of them

I went to a few places that have spent thousands in equipment that sucks the smoke out very effectively. They even built enclosed little rooms with air conditioning/exhaust..still not good enough.I agree with the non smoking aspect..people shouldn't have to breath in our disgusting habit. The owners will surely lose money.I don't know what it is and probably the reason why I failed at quiting smoking a few times but when I drink I like to smoke

:1orglaugh You say it like it was all that long ago.

I can remember when smoking was allowed on hospital wards.

chelo - adultcopywriters 03-31-2008 02:13 PM

No it's not! One of the best things our government has done so far. :thumbsup

D Ghost 03-31-2008 02:19 PM

here in SF i've been to 4 or 5 spots which have designated smoking rooms inside

GrouchyAdmin 03-31-2008 02:19 PM

Nope. Nevada's imported California's "If kids can be there, smokes can't." laws.

so, when the government starts installing video cameras in your house to monitor in home crimes, you won't object?

the government should NOT be intruding in our lives like this people, whether you like the fact they are watching your health or not, don't you all get it???????

fuck!

it's not even a law yet, but all pubs and discos now need to have an open space for people who wants to smoke. It's not like installing a camera on your room.

It's not a violation of your privacy as long as they do not get in your private property. Of course I'll be against a camera on my room.

Smoking is just bad and addictive, more addictive even than cocaine, I was a smoker for a long time and now I just love to get back home after a club's night without my clothes smelling like cigarettes for 3 days. Besides if you want to smoke you can do it, you just got to be in a place with no roof or in a private party.

Bdiddy 03-31-2008 07:53 PM

No smoking in seattle (where I'm from) but here in manila, they dont give a shit

Beaver Bob 03-31-2008 08:59 PM

Its weird here in Vegas. Smoking is banned from all areas that serve food, but it can't really be enforced. 2 years ago you could smoke anywhere in this city, and I'm sure the casinos will always accomidate the smokers.

i need to quit, but no matter what I believe it should be a decision left to establishment owners.

Is it the big bad government oppressing you yet again or is it simply the will of the majority transformed into law to protect people's rights to breath cleaner air in public places?

Perspective is everything I suppose.

Miguel T 03-31-2008 11:12 PM

Some still allow it here in Portugal.
