Sherm if I were pres and you were my VP and I saw a way to make your business more money don't you think I would?

I sure would hope you would do the same thing

I would do the same thing, but not if it involved fucking up the lives of others. So far we have young men and women dying overseas for oil and building contracts and we have a HUGE deficit (which is a combo of the housing situation and the war).

The leader is supposed to be for the people. As it stands, his pockets are fatter while the rest of us are getting fucked. How anybody can support a regime that doesn't have their best interests in mind, is beyond me. The dollar is useless overseas, inflation is hitting and we are just about in a deep recession.

Net neutrality alone is enough for me to not vote republican. People need to start looking past political parties, and looking at the issues. Mccain is basically Bush part 2...Do we want another moron leading this country? You already said that you can't wait for Bush's reign to end, so let it end.

I'm not saying the Democrats are any better, but at least there is a chance of a little improvement. After 8 years of this Bush shit, America is now the laughing stock of the world. We're still so nationalistic, that we've fed ourselves with this "We are the best" bullshit to the point that now people are seeing that we are in fact, full of shit. Maybe we used to be the best, but now we are anything but.

I don't care for any of the candidates to be honest...I'm just saying that I doubt a Democrat with a different approach can fuck things up any worse that they are already.

P.S. The president is just a figurehead with veto power...unfortunately Bush likes to use his veto power, so his role has actually become significant. :Oh crap

Hate to break the news to you, but thanks to your Republican government your country is slowly being bought by the rest of the world (and with the value of your dollar, it's actually getting quite cheap) ... so, what you think or who you want to vote for may some day be irrelevant.

(I'm exaggerating obviously, but the truth is that the meltdown of your economy has led to your debt being bailed out by foreigner interests. I hope that makes you sleep well at night, I'd personally be a tad nervous!)

Forgiving it for what?

What happened on September 11, 2001 gave this country every right it needed to strike out at anybody and everybody it saw as culpable.

The fact that our idiot president handled the situation as poorly as he did doesn't change that premise one bit.

Rest assured, if something like 9-11 should ever happen again, no matter who's in the White House, this country will kick some more ass and we won?t bother with getting your permission then either :321GFY

So I guess Iraq was responsible for the 9-11 attacks?

Ever stop to ask yourself, before you go attacking anybody you see as culpable, why the attacks took place? Maybe if you ask yourself this question, there will be less or maybe no attacks in the future.

If you had even the slightest clue about either ideology you would realize that they are remarkably similar. They are both totalitarian, utopian doctrines which subjugate the rights and aspirations of individuals to a higher ideal. They both seek a perfect society and they both seek to impose their vision of a perfect society on the whole world through force.

I assume you are implying that the US is also guilty of such things like trying to impose its vision of a perfect society on the rest of the world under the banner of Bush's rhetoric about "spreading democracy." The difference is that the US is trying to stabilize the Middle East for the purpose of protecting its commercial and strategic interests....... good old fashioned imperialism. It is quite different then the internationalist utopian nature of Islamism or Communism.
