Convention parties and drugs?

Is there a convention that strictly prohibits/discourages the use? I know drugs are everywhere, so it's somewhat normal that they can show up sometimes at parties, but I would like to know if there's some kind of straightedge or alcohol only convention.

Some people just don't want to be around if you know what I mean. And I am curious.

A girl once told me "Give me 8 inches and make it HURT".

So, I fucked her twice and hit her with a brick.

Im sorry to say alcohol is the one of the most evil addictive legal drugs known to mankind but then again most people have been programmed to think its not ..thats why 4 of my friends have died from it but non so far from the so called illegal substances

From the shows I have attended I didnt see drug abuse if it happened it must have took place in private,all I saw was a lot of drinking..well it is a adult convention and a lot of guys so I think youll find most shows are relaxed and fun and not full of crazy stuff you may read about.

I attended the LA show it was big and busy but I didnt see any drug taking or other bad activity.

Dont listen to everything you see or read most shows are aiming for good business and a little relaxing fun.

In fact if they see open drugs I think you would be banned and kicked out,attend a few shows and you will experience for yourself thats the best way

Baddog is not ignorant, he's respectful of our industry and is not being as upfront as he and I both could be on this issue. Either that or his age is catching up with him. I've been in the same room as him when people were using....This year even. Perhaps he turned a blind eye to it....But that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

However....baddog is not the one who made the following idiotic comment:

I've attended shows all over the world. US, Canada, Germany, Holland, Mexico, Thailand, and more.

I will refrain from mentioning any names or specific shows but I have seen drug use from major sponsors as well as the people who put the shows together...Many times. Yet you claim people would be thrown out for such things.

If you don't want to be called ignorant then don't make ignorant statements.

Aside from the oh so common straight out alcohol abuse and rampant chain smoking you mean? Yes both very common drugs. Then the onslaught of prescription meds and please do not say these are not used and or abused at shows. Then of course marijuana is used medicinally and not medicinally. If you bother to look almost anywhere you will also find others such drugs as coke, ecstasy, LSD, and meth.

Few will bother you with it, though as AaronM also stated though some are a bit off and you can loose some business opportunities if you do not follow along.

Why stop at drugs though, we not get concerned with the amount of sex going on without current tests. Then as mentioned above I have had the most number of issues with people who just drank to fucking much.

So let me tell you this fucking big boy if I had caught you or anyone at that show doing drugs in front of me or if any of the girls reported to me the same they would be leaving that show quicker than they came,and that goes for the upcomming New York Show.

What goes on behind closed doors nothing can be done ,but overall shows are clean and dont say your holding back from stuff and Im blind .

I haven't seen too much blantant drug consumption other than alcohol. People tend to actually do their lines, drops, etc behind closed doors or in small parties that I don't seem to be too interested in getting myself invited to. That said, there sure are a lot of people running around conventions who appear to be intoxicated on one thing or another. It's usually the same crowd, though, and they aren't pushy about it.

Basically, if you don't want to be around the drugs, you don't have to be. If you do want to be around them, then you can do that, too.
