1. Human beings are good in general. Most people are friendly, sincere, kind, they don't resort to agression or violence, they can be trusted and will not fuck you over. Basically, most people are good. Only a small minority are "bad apples".

2. Most people are bad, can't be trusted, they will lie, cheat, fuck you over if it benefits them, finding someone truly friendly, genuine, good, trustworthy, ethical is very hard nowadays.

also think about when people have the most fun in general conversations: gossiping and laughing about other people... just think about the last conversation yo had that made you really laugh out loud... 9 times out of 10 it was becuase of joking or ridiculing someone.

My dog is actually a lot better company than most people that I meet.

Although I would love to believe that most people are inherently good with a few bad apples here and there stirring things up once in a while, it is sadly and unfortunately not the case. It is actually pretty much the exact opposite of that from what I have seen.

I myself have always tried to treat others with the compassion and kindness that I would hope to receive. Although there are those people with a certain arrogance about them that have convinced themselves that they are somehow better than everyone else and as a result will treat them as such. This arrogance is quickly realized, usually with in a few min of introduction. I have no time for people of this sort and I will politely minimize my contact with them.

I have sadly through my life come across many self-absorbed, greedy, two faced assholes that will only take action if they themselves are to profit in one way or another, giving no consideration of how their actions may affect others. On the other hand I have also been fortunate enough to make some great friends that are truly sincere and that would go out of their way to help those less fortunate without the expectation of personal gain whatsoever. Lately though it just seems that there are far more of the former and less of the latter.

I voted one. I think only a very small minority of people are not to be trusted, or totally unsympathetic. I think it just happens to be so that they somehow cluster and I've had such fortune not to group with them. Also, views on this board will be biased due to the disproportionally large prevalence of social anxiety here.

i think neither of those statements are true. good and bad are relative terms, for one thing - and i suspect that stupidity rather than badness is the cause of most problems in the world.
