    Google versus Illegal Tube Sites

Some people are trying to say google does the same thing.

But Google's business model isnt based on stolen content like the illegal tube sites are.

I agree. Google is also spending money to create filter programs to help identify stolen content more quickly. Do you know of ANY porn tube sites that allow user uploads that are working on that?

The comparison wasn't between Google and tube sites, it was between what google does and what drinkinghardest does. I'm not expert and don't really want to get involved in this, but I think his "business model" doesn't revolve around using stolen content any more then googles does.

Another good idea maybe? DMCA google for all of the tube domains displaying your stolen content and have those URLs removed.

The music industry has posted fake torents and other file sharing types of files on networks to try and reduce the frequency of successful downloads of stolen content. The idea is to try to frustrate users who download illegally into eventually deciding it is easier to just pay. I wonder what would happen if the porn industry started doing something similiar.

ok to be clear.. I'm not defending Mark or saying what he and Google does are similar.

I'm saying that the people who are all mad at Mark should really consider what they're saying. Boycotting sites that support tubes that have stolen content on them is a slippery slope in my opinion, since we all make money from Google and other search engines that do similar things.

I was doing a normal image search the other day, and I saw two pictures of a girl sucking off a sheep, first page. But am I all alarmed that google is supporting beastiality? Hell no. Just saying we hold them to a different standard, and since they're the biggest dealer of traffic in our industry (whether they are IN our industry or not... Hell, is Megarotic IN our industry??) then it seems laughable to me that on one hand people are calling for a witchhunt, but turning a blind eye to Google because they're "big", and you would LOSE MONEY if you took a stand against google.

To me, if you're going to go on and on about supporting tube sites blah blah blah, you should really walk the walk.

If you search anything in google, it's FULL of the sites that have all the stolen content. To ignore how people are getting to the stolen content in the first place (because there's no easy answer, and nobody to yell at) is a bit hypocritical.
