A must have for all your late night drunken food cravings.

Just make sure you have soft toilet paper for the morning. :thumbsup

For buffalo wings in AZ, the original Long Wongs is great.

There is a Macayo's Depot Cantina near Mill in Tempe on Ash for good Mexican food, although the last time I went it wasn't as great as I remembered growing up.

I hate to break it to you, but you guys invented that. So it wouldn't be wrong to call that American food.

:2 cents:

Forget all that. Walk down to the corner and get the **garlic fries** at Gordon Biersch [but not before an important meeting]. :winkwink:

And Steve Lightspeed knows the best Mexican restaurant :thumbsup

Hamburger
Hot Dog
Mexican in AZ (though not technically "American")
Hot wings
Apple pie
Fried chicken
Collards
Grits
Good deli sandwich
Bagel (not sure if there are good ones in AZ)

Being such a melting pot there are tons of places where you can get good food from other countries (see: Mexican in AZ :) ). Hell, probably ALL of our food has a base somewhere besides the US.

A lot of "American food" is junk though - no way about it. And you might as well enjoy a Twinkie if you can't get one where you live!

gornyhuy 03-20-2008 11:19 AM

Make sure you eat my ass!

See? We get "American Food" from everywhere else :thumbsup

If you've been to a deli in NY, don't waste your time finding one in AZ. :2 cents:

we have nothing for breakfast - coffee thats it, the 50 course breakfast you get in the Amsterdam hotel is just for the tourists and since they charge 40 bucks for that no dutchie does that

No breakfast huh?

How about a breakfast buffet. For about $10 all you can eat.
http://www.goldencorral.com/menu/breakfast.asp
The site lists one in Phoenix. Best item on the list is the Spinach Quiche.

As far as all out junk food, Twinkies are for wimps.
Try Hostess Suz-Q's, Hoho's and Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes

You forgot dum-dums. Personally I think they are much better than ho-ho's. Oh and then one must not forget sno balls and if you can find them they have chocodiles and then red zingers. Yes all snack cakes.

Ya its a cake ball with marshmellow center and coconut flakes on outside.
Chocodiles are sort of like chocolate twinkes with fudge frosting.
Red Zingers are like strawbery ho-ho's with coconut flakes.

Oh there also is a vanilla version of the hostest cupcake.

Why do I know this junk food so well. :Oh crap

Or maybe deep fried twinkies, deep fried snickers, deep fried pickles, and of course everything you have had fried covered in ranch dressing.

:1orglaugh I kid, I seriously hope nobody eats like that. Then again we do have the Monte Cristo sandwich.
