People in other countries have had multicolored currency for years. Australia even has a hologram. It's a way to combat counterfeit money and I think it's a good idea. Now we need to make the bills different sizes. It's interesting talking to someone who is sight impaired from a different country and they ask how someone sight impaired from the US knows the difference in denominations. I'm not sure how they do that
Of course the problem is that there is still so much of the "old" currency out there so people can still counterfeit and get away with it.Comment

They actually want much more colors in US currency because it's harder to counterfeit. The problem is if they went and out right changed it, it would hurt the value of the currency around the world. (not that that really matters at this point) So they are slowly changing it with baby steps.In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

The Euro has terrible notes. The size of the bills is ridiculously large and wide. I remember when travelling through Eastern Europe I went to change some of Euro's to local currency, and because of the size of the notes they had been sticking out the side of my wallet and the shitty paper they are made of ripped easily and the currency trader didn't want to accept them. Not sure how many other countries implement the plastic type notes, but they are by far the best. Couldn't rip them if you tried.
