I would change from the generic WP theme into one of their others (under PRESENTATION), remove 'Just Another Word Press Blog' (under MANAGE) and add a couple of sponsor banners. (PRESENTATION>OPTIONS>WIDGETS>TEXT).

I'm sure someone who knows more about catagories than I do will be along to help you out on that part.

It should look good with some fine-tuning. Best of luck.

Blogging is all about writing. If you can't do that you'll fail.

not ribbing you much, but it is kind of funny to read around when people say they want to start a blog and then say something along the lines of "you mean I have to write?"

Read, read, and read some more. Then go about your blog. Spend at least a whole day reading then go about your blog, serious.

typically whats a good amount of writing per story? 2 or 3 paragraphs? or is it the longer the better, as long as it all fits together well as a good story.

over 100 words and under 500 is my motto. take my advice you can get all the info you'll need, if you read and research other blogs in your niche.

it seems you're going for the partygirl niche. when was the last time you went clubbing? what do the girls drink? what kind of music? you can really write this up.

if you write 'this girl is hot and she shook her tailfeather' you'll lose me. you must really write in detail what it's like to see girls out clubbin

Short answer: http://www.partyflings.com/?p=3 is bad, http://www.partyflings.com/pool-party/ or http://www.partyflings.com/pool-party.html or similar is what you want for the search engines. Anchor text is basically the link text.

As suggested, go to some forums related to wordpress and SEO, it's easy to learn the basics in a day.

What others said..

1) Noticed no one told you how to enable SEF permalinks so, go to Settings -> Permalinks and choose something like "Month and name" so you can have http://www.partyflings.com/14/07/pool-party/ instead http://www.partyflings.com/?p=3

2) No empty or "broken" links. Your About page sux http://www.partyflings.com/?page_id=2 its wordpress generated one. Remove it or write what is your blog about..

3) Get some new theme. Default one is overused and seen practically by everyone. Even the surfer knows what script are you running first 2 seconds. And it doesn't look good.
There are lots of free themes out there and you can upload few and see what fits the best.
Of course, the best thing you can do is buy some premium theme ( or see sig, hit me up and I can make you some custom ;) )

4) Use more tags, use categories & add more stuff at sidebar. Iframes, live banners, whatever.

5) Install some fancy plugins that will help you out. There are lots of threads out there, do some research and put what you need.

When you do everything mentioned above, start submitting your blog and trading links. Everything else is nice updates with lots of text, SEO work etc.
