I'm not going to point out any issues or dig into anything with CCBill. They are a company I greatly respect and I love the people there. However, everyone in this business who holds valuable data has had security issues from time to time, and it will happen in the future also. To believe that anyone is immune is being very naive.

John has done a good job answering questions so far, but I am very disappointed that such a security issue has not resulted in tracking down the guilty party. The fact that it could be an ex-employee, or current, sends a bad shiver down my spine.

I can only speak for myself, but it would be nice to one day read "We now know what happened" or "We know who did it" somewhere in regards to this issue. Everything up to this point has all been a little too vague for my comfort level, though I put trust in this not happening again and continue to use NATS.

And heaven help a lot of us if CCbill were to pull an Ibill or Globill. Then all those eggs you had in one basket are gone, gone, gone. At least with a cascading system you can sort your eggs accordingly to reduce your risk if one of your billers went under.
