I don't think it is an age issue. Most of us were young when we got started in this business. I don't think it's a "newbie" issue. We were all new once and this industry does need a flow of new ideas and people. I don't even think it is so much a "maturity" issue. Many of the successful people in this biz lack maturity in some sense of the word. (And that keeps it fun at times)
I think the problem this board has is the number of people here who aren't even in the industry and/or they don't take it seriously and treat it as a business. |

This board would likely improve 10 fold if they just got rid of the fucking contests. That would be a wonderful fucking start. I still can't believe that to this day sponsors haven't figured out the contest are a fucking joke full of leaches that couldn't send a sale if their life depended on it. |

This board sucks more and more. But the owners don't care, so not much we can do about it. It would help when they wouldn't allow those contest threads, and the sigs online 1 line or so without pictures. They would also remove the sig guys postiing for 1 cent a post

Seems to me management as lost interest in posting and doing cool stuff with their board. Kind of like it's big enough, we get the traffic and advertisers so why bother.
For GFY to be cool like it was back in the day would require a major clean up. Eliminate sig whores trolls, eliminate idiots that are just here to argue and piss off people and also eliminate the gazillions contest. How about GFY makes a contest once in a while to give back to the community that as been making the posts and getting the traffic so they can bank on advertisers.
