    USA lost the quality of its main product

    Do you agree that a brand will not last long without a good product?

    The US lost its main product which was the main driving force of its foreign policy......morality. Now that it lost its moral standing how long do you think it can contain its image?

          Interesting and true. The next few years will be interesting.

          Also, the US and much of the western world had a common enemy for a long time (communism, Soviets) which kept people looking the other way whenever the US bombed or sent troops somewhere. I think there was an "aura" from this that lasted through the 1990s as the US bombed 7 countries, I think without much negetive effect on its allies' perceptions.

                  the good image will maintain as long as US buck value, which is unfortunately going down a lot....

                              The US has never been so strong since 1945. The American Republic is not declining, it's bullshit. It's actually the reason why Russians, Chinese, Arab nationalists are worried. They fear the US.

                              The US saved the world from Nazism, then from Communism, and will save it from Islamism.

                                      Morality is just an illusion. This country was founded on Gun Boat Diplomacy. Just like the French the Brits and many others whom ruled by force and military might. Look to history and you will see any nation whom has held world power has always had to enforce it's power by military force.

                                      Many have come and gone, it's just the United State's turn to carry the sword at this time and place. No world power has ever had moral standing. The French didn't have it, The Brits didn't have it.. The list goes on and on. The only difference is now the evil deeds are broadcast around the world 5 mins after it happens.

                                          Wasn't almost every country founded with a sword?

                                          What we need in this country is to stop worrying about all the other countries in the world and worry about the most important one, our own. Im sick as hell looking at my tax bill, and the taxes i have to pay to the government to wage all these wars for no freakin reason.

                                          Our willingness to police the world (for our own benefit of course) will be our ultimate downfall. IMO, the US is still the greatest country on the planet, i just wish we could get rid of the cooks and crooks in our government. They spend all our tax dollars on things we dont want or need to be involved in and we cant do a single thing to stop them.

                                                          True that no country really has moral standing. It is relative. But the US had branded itself as "moral" quite well for a long time; especially after World War II and in comparison to Communism. it's all marketing. ;-)
