I completely agree with you, it took me forever to find a job. They are building a LOT of houses, but not as many businesses are starting up.

that means more people are moving here then the jobs that are available.

I just stopped looking. Completely. I'm doing the freelance thing. It works out all right, but I've been infected lately with an influx of really, really bad clients. Thankfully, no one from GFY was part of that cesspool.

I was formerly in the tech sector, and 'GT Bill' is exactly right. So many people moved here in anticipation of Phoenix and surrounding areas blowing up, and it was a great plan until they figured out that they couldn't afford a house.

yeah I'm also in arizona and the market here is horrible. I'm freelancing design work but I've also lately had clients who won't respond or complete payments so jt sucks. I'm planning on moving soon.

The market in the entire valley sucks to tell you the truth. Our mainstream company has seen a big decline in sales. Budgets are locked up and business is not what it was like a year ago.

Hopefully you will find something, good luck.

Oh yea, be sure to move out of Scottsdale....real pricey there.

Hit up all the temp placement companies, for design/tech work - you can get hired for $12-$18 hour, temp work, and if you are good one of the companies may pick you up.
