Shot my first gun yesterday

Shot my first gun yesterday in the mountains...It was a 45 I believe...what a powerfull feeling. I was high at the moment, so it was even scarier. I emptied a whole clip, and afterwards, I was scared shitless. My friend wanted me to fire his 12 gauge shotgun, but I said no way. Good stuff though

Oh, let me get this straight, your so tired of hearing about guns that you actually clicked on the thread talking about that very thing, and spent 30 seconds posting about it? ...

thanx Brett I didnt shoot any cans though, I just emptied a whole clip towards the mountain. There was alot of mesquitos up there though when we went, so I think I may have gotten a few of those. Hopefully they were carrying the west nile virus and therefore I did society a favor. Its good to do my part to help this world

Shooting a gun is a great feeling eh? To date I've shot a .22, .303, and 30-30 rifles, a single barrell shotgun, .38 revolver, glock 26, walther PPK, a baby .32 snubnose (tiny little pocket-sized gun), that's all I can think of right now.. I liked the PPK the best.

And I'm from Canada, not the USA!

I love my CZ-75 Compact 9mm. .45 is great, but I like the feeling of being able to aim the second shot faster.

I've shot a few weapons in my Army days...
I love the M16 but it doesn't beat shooting the 50 cal at a tank.

And perhaps even better than that is tossing a live hand grenade.

Ooh, the live hand grenade ROCKED!!! The movies really don't capture the feeling of the earth thumping beneath you when it blows!

But my personal preference was the MK-29 grenade machine gun. Hellz yeah!!!

I tried to find a pic of me in uniform, but I only took a few very early on in my site, which means with my shitty camera... here's the best one I could find. I'd like to do a new series, but with all that's going on right now it doesn't seem very appropriate.

I grew up in Wyoming where you basically get your irst gun when you can stand...

I remember being 12 and had a nice little 10 guage...my uncle let me shoot his British 303 and that thing knocked me on my ass, but what a gun....

As a kid, I became a good shot with a shotgun because my dad made me toss my own clay pigeons, so I had to learn to shoot quickly and keep a sharp instinct....the only problem was during sage chicken season....I would get a little too fast on the trigger and POOF an assload of feathers with very little left of the bird to eat.......

I love going to to Mesquite, just an hour and half outside of Vegas, and shoot at the trap range....

Anyone up for some trap or skeet shooting in January??

word Sykk.... same where I grew up.... got my first gun for my 6th birthday.... lol.... hard to believe that some people grow to adulthood before ever handling one. I just gave my girl a lesson in breakdown and reassembly of a semi-auto 9mm a few nights ago.... but I don't think she grasped too much of it....

I also shot a .300 magnum rifle. that thing is like a fucking canon ;p loud as hell...

...and a couple shot of .22...

Now think what it must have been like to do that except it was aimed at a person. And no matter the situation you think there may have been something else you could have done. Making a decision in a matter of seconds that can effect the rest of your life and someone elses.

I belive in people's rights to bear arms and I still cary a 32.auto on my ankle and pray it never has to be removed from that holster.

sorry..thread caught me off guard and i'm mumbling..

A 10 gauge is not very little, maybe a .410 gauge??

I'd like to shoot some clay pigeons in January. Everyone bring their shotguns and we can do it on the hotel roof!

I think the bellhops will be a little freaked if we start toting in violin cases!

Cheers!

Anyone else? Nina and I have discussed doing something, either official or unofficial....If there is enough interest, I'll look into booking some range time and a shuttle (Mesquite is 77 miles from Vegas) as well as some other goodies (if we do it right before or right after InterNext, they have room packages starting at $69 for 2 nights including pigeons, and they have a golf package) http://www.oasisgunclub.com

Firing guns do give a person a sense of power almost like your unstopable for a moment. As a kid I did a lot of hunting but didnt get to own or shoot a handgun( a small 25 baretta) until about 7th grade. They fucken rock.

Sounds like a blast, if I can make it down early enough this time, I'm totally up for it.

I still wanna hit that range that Snow and them did and fire off some more exotic SMGs and such - don't get to see that stuff up here in our great Socialistic nation.

Cheers,

I belive in people's rights to bear arms and I still cary a 32.auto on my ankle and pray it never has to be removed from that holster.

sorry..thread caught me off guard and i'm mumbling..
I had been thinking about buying a gun for a while, even before firing that weapon 2 days ago. But I can't imagine ever being able to pull the trigger and shoot a human being. When I fired my first shot, my first thought was exactly that
