Remind me to run a vet practice in my next life
I just got back from dropping my pug off at the vet. She has had this on going thing with her back leg where she holds in up and hops for a couple seconds after she gets up from sitting down for an extended period. So, they decided it was time to do some xrays. I dropped her off for the Xrays and I will pick her back up in a few hours.
The bill for xrays and the interpretation of them? £300 ..which is about $600. Yay for having pet insurance but still. |

I thought pet insurance was a scam...that was before my cat got really sick...I've probably spent over 10K on his medical bills, meds, etc over the last three years......

Yeah, I have paid in for two years and was starting to wonder if it was worth it. Then with this one visit I made back nearly four months worth of payments. I had to pay the excess but that really wasn't much and if she needs any further treatment on this I won't have to pay any more.

Makes sense...I'll know better the next time...it's just so hard to imagine that it will be a worthwhile investment when they're a kitten or puppy running around healthy....then when they get older and get sick, and you go to check out of the hospital and the receptionist says "today's charges will be $3200"...you want to stab yourself in the eye lol
