So my buddies and i decided to go to comicon this year. We've never been but we hear its a good time.

No im not into comics before i get all the "nerd alert" comments, it's really just an excuse to go to CA, ive never been.

ANYWAY, anyone have any hotels to recommend in the area?
Anyone have any hookups/connections theyd care to share?

Looks like we are heading to San Diego for our anniversary in June. How are the Westin hotels downtown?

fun places are the omni, the ivy, hotel solmar, hard rock hotel, and there are two marriotts down town. I've stayed at them all except for hotel solmar. There is a lot more hotels down there of course. These are just the ones I would say go to. hard rock hotel and is a stone throw from the convention.

Last year was the first year I had missed in a very very long time.

It's Hotel Solamar. I would recommend it, but all the ones mentioned are close to the convention center and the Gaslamp. The Ivy looks nice as well, haven't stayed or been in there though.
