i wouldn't worry so much about the dilution of the talent pool in mma. it's not like a team sport where a flood of crap players can step in and haul down the value of the entire sport. there will always be the crema of the crop rising to the top in mma. and quite frankly ufc has got the cream of the crop for the most part. they will continue to make the big $$$ in ufc, and they will continue to bring in all the big names they can. like really, who are they missing out on righ tnow other than fedor? they could suck it up and bring nick diaz back i guess.

Cheapest seats in Montreal are going for $500/ticket. Remember, this is a hockey arena that seats 18-20K with the floor open. So yes, it's mainstream.

It went mainstream years ago, when the number one pickup line at the bars became, "I'm a cage fighter".
It's like a sport for me, when I hear that. Soon as I ask where do you train, how many fights, where did you fight, it becomes. I train in my friends garage/backyard, I fought in underground matches, blah blah blah.
