Fake AskJolene Reseller

Dear webmasters,

several sponsors have contacted us today to ask if we had an official reseller. This is not the case, AskJolene has no official resellers and we handle all our customers ourselves.

If someone contacts you using an e-mail address not originating from the askjolene.com domain, they're not an AskJolene employee.

The person in question provides the people he contacts with a PowerPoint presentation in which some aspects of AskJolene are highlighted. One of our clients that was approached was made the following order:

"3 months deluxe banner campaign which appear at the bottom of the page are priced at £5000 for the full 3 months The 3 months image ads that appear at the top right of every page start at £6000 for the full 3 months You can also connect anything you wish to the adverts. I hope to hear from you soon."

We want to make absolutely clear that we don't do any business with this person. If this person contacts you regarding AskJolene, please ignore him.

There really needs to be some type of internet police that responds quickly and with powers to arrest, treating these crooks the same as if the scams were taking place in a conventional business setting.

I hardly understand why somebody would go through a reseller without checking the original company/source first, especially with internet traffic and the experiences posted on various boards. But it happens...
