This comparision pops up alot recently, but it's just wrong. Most stuff on youtube is homemade/made for free distribution (uploaded by the creators/copyright owners) or available for free anyway (tv clips, promotional vids, etc.).

That's much different from stuff on adult tubes that is NOT made for free distribution except some of the shorter clips. Most of the amateur stuff is ripped as well and NOT uploaded by the couples/girls themselves.

my theory is that HD actually annoys the average surfer porn buyer, when the surfer is fapping they don't want to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for the download, they want to click on a video, see it instantly, skip over boring parts instantly, skip to the next video instantly..... I think the whole trend of huge video files that some of the paysites use is the wrong way to go.... streaming adequate resolution video that looks fine on the screen and is up and playing instantly is the way to go

If the people migrating from paysites to Tubes were concerned about the level of image quality we would not have Tubes. Please think harder.

Tubes are places to view videos for free, they need sign ups to dating and webcam sites to support their costs. Most paysites are just places to download videos and require a months commitment.

Until we change they will continue to take customers. Dreaming laws or HD will change it, is hopeless.
