What kind of system were you trying to run it on?

yuu.design 02-24-2008 12:30 AM

laptop with Xp

NoWhErE 02-24-2008 12:40 AM

for video editing, you can't beat a MAC

NewbieNudes 02-24-2008 01:17 AM

i am experimienting on mac and i can say this - windows management sux on os x. no maximise. no dragging any corner or side of a window to reshape it. you have to always use the bottom right corner. From that point of view macs havent improved since the very first mac.

having said that - boot times and stability seem good. to early to say if i will stick to osx or install windows on my Macbook Air

NewbieNudes 02-24-2008 01:18 AM

oh and keyboard shortcuts seem to be non-existant!

Fredde 02-24-2008 01:33 AM

Both - OS X and XP.
I love my macbook pro.

whaaaaaat? there are so many shortcuts on a mac that you couldn't possibly keep track of all of them. granted they are all unnatural combinations of keys but there are tons of shortcuts.

Also, install quicksilver. That might help you like your mac a lot better. Finder sucks for launching apps.

Fap 02-24-2008 03:41 AM

PC.. but im buying a macbook air

BlockThree 02-26-2008 06:19 PM

macbook pro, i run parallels only when i need to test sites on pc browsers. Windows doesnt hold a candle to os x anymore.

candyflip 02-26-2008 06:26 PM

I am all over the place. Most comfortable in OSX.

Right now I'm playing around with Vista, running on my Mac.

There's also an Ubuntu machine within reach.

natas 02-26-2008 06:35 PM

Ive been running pcs for about 19 years now. (no, not all porn lol)

I'm about to buy a macbook tho, so who knows :thumbsup

MVTCash 02-26-2008 06:56 PM

PC here, never really used a mac, guess I am just to comfortable with the PC setup (been using them for 15 years now)

Chosen 02-26-2008 08:25 PM

onno 02-26-2008 10:51 PM

WebAdultSolution 02-26-2008 11:58 PM

I use PC with XP for work....

petepete 02-27-2008 12:20 AM

Main PC running Vista (no problems!), older laptop running xp (no problems!) but to be replaced by MacBook Pro in the near future, MacBook for mail/news/rss/updates (as a small form factor internet tablet).

NewbieNudes 02-27-2008 03:34 AM

Just installed vista on the macbook air - she's a snappy unit!

NewbieNudes 02-27-2008 03:35 AM

The verdict is OSX is no better or worse than Vista. They both have flaws. I'll leave both O/Ss on it and see which one i boot into more often.

Bootcamp does rock i must say.

Godsmack 02-27-2008 03:39 AM

OSX rocks.. not planning on going back to any Microsoft powered pc..

chelo - adultcopywriters 02-27-2008 12:24 PM

PC with XP and FedoraCore8.

Vista is a pain in the ass with all those security questions, I uninstalled it from my laptop, it looked good though.

Libertine 02-28-2008 05:22 PM

Mac for work, win xp for games.

Lace 02-28-2008 05:28 PM

All XP PC's.

If I do pick up a new PC which I plan on doing soon, first thing I will do is format it and through XP on there.

X37375787 02-28-2008 05:32 PM

New Mac Pro for work, custom Windows box for gaming (SLI 8800 GTX and shits)

Gerco 03-07-2008 09:15 PM

Have a macbook Pro, Imac and a mac mini, plus an Iphone. The only other boxes I have now are Ubuntu based. I doubt I'll ever use a windows OS again.

payd2purv 03-07-2008 09:46 PM

I have both. :)

judycash 03-08-2008 12:16 AM

helic0pter 03-08-2008 04:31 AM

I use a pc and don't think I'll ever go to a mac. However I do still use XP and haven't had the chance to get let down by Vista yet.

scarlettcontent 03-08-2008 04:32 AM

PC with XP and PC with Ubuntu, Vista stinks

I'm able to build my own super fast PC's and i know how to troubleshoot Windows(it's like owning a Volkswagen Beetle). I've done some amazing 3D and graphic work on my PC(or so I've been told over the years), and would never switch back to a Mac.

So I guess I'm saying you don't need a MAc for graphics. That's bullshit.

^ that's the truth. :2 cents:

payd2purv 03-08-2008 12:00 PM

You REALLY don't need a mac for web graphics.

But I will say my mac doesn't crash and my pc does.

I really trust my mac unlike my pc.

WZRogeR 03-08-2008 12:06 PM

only pc :)

AdultB2B 03-11-2008 01:18 AM

What's a pc?

randykoolkat 03-11-2008 11:19 AM

Gaming. If you're not a gamer then it's true that you don't need a PC for anything.

tomud 03-11-2008 12:34 PM

PCs only (XP and Debian)

Tomud

Mistah Charlie 03-11-2008 01:56 PM

I was all mac until 95, when I gave up in frustration and embraced windows 95, which was much better at the time, and much much better with XP. But now I'm in the process of switching back to Mac 12 years later. When you use both every day, you start to see the drawbacks of the PC. It may be my Dell and HP pc boxes are old and tired, but a six year old G4, just upgraded to Jaguar, far outshines a high end HP box running XP that is less than one year old. I'll keep the PCs around to see what the groundlings see, but for my every day use, I'm going to be all mac. Looking at the air. Pricey, yowch!, and you only save 2 lbs (mac book is already pretty light), but sexy as hell.
