THE CURE was the very first "big" bands playing here in CZech after communism fall. They arrived few days after the "revolution day".
I remmember I didn't hesitate not for a second.
Was the best show of my life - it was impossible to even think you could ever see them and suddenly they were here.
They felt that audience is crazy and played for longer then 4 hours. The last few songs they had to talk to each other before play - I am sure they shot the songs that haven't been on playlist for some time....

I hate you. Last band on my 'must see before I die' list and I keep missing them.

When I saw Depeche Mode last year they played a set about as long without a support group. More acts should do that rather than wimping out and making people sit through a usually rubbish act.

I've seen THE CURE at their prime in 1989 for the DESINTEGRATION tour for the first time and saw them 2 other times but it just wasn't AS good as that first time.

They have so many Classics but everything after 1992 is definately not as good...

Personnal favorite songs of mine:

A Strange Day
A Night Like This
A Forest
Play For Today
Fire In Cairo
Killing An Arab
Desintegration
The Blood
Fascination Street
Charlotte Sometimes
Lullaby
Catch
Close To Me

and so on...
