I did not get a hemi for the mileage.

My Hemi supposedly goes to 4 cylinders at a certain speed so they ARE good for mileage :)

I have not seemed to have found that speed..........

Probably 8-9 or so... 28 year old carburated 4.2L.

About 21 (mostly freeway): 350Z
My wife's is 28 (mostly freeway): GLI

22 mpg on the highway...'03 6 cyl Toyota Tacoma.

12 gallons to the 1/4 mile. but I get there rather fast.....

Well, try not matting the poor thing, running it with jets wide open!
There is a point, or position, on the throttle, that one can clearly feel the car is NOT pulling any more. So, once the resistance is gone, back off.

Also, you should be pulsing more. Diesels have a ton of torque and do not need to be matted, at all!
