im 5'8, i was 175LBS before(all muscle),

but i lost weight now im like 160LBS, im far from fat.

SO you saying all these big dudes at like 5'10, 200LBS are fat?

I was about to say the same thing. These charts are dependant of various different factors

HammerALL 02-21-2008 10:08 AM

Yep - I'm obese -

s9ann0 02-21-2008 10:43 AM

this chart is gay if you were a serious bodybuilder and all cut and muscled It'd say you were fat

Brother Bilo 02-21-2008 10:53 AM

These BMI's are ridiculous. According to these, I'm fast approaching morbidly obese. According to this chart, I should be between 155 and 190, which would be about a 60 to 100 pound weight loss.

The problem with these is they don't take into account the walking gunshow I put on all over town.

sniperwolf 02-21-2008 12:31 PM

No, not an obese yet! lol just to work on some pounds to have appropriate weight. :winkwink:

Keep in mind this thing doesnt account for muscle mass. If you're into bodybuilding at all, this scale is pretty much useless....

Exactly... I'm 6'1" on the thin side at 190 (varies from 180 to 195 depending on if I'm lifting more or running more), and this chart has me as obese if I do any lifting at all.

Same thing here. I've got a damn large frame and I'm slimming down to 210ish with a 6'1'' stature. I figure that anywhere between 200-210 is the goal range.

Like everyone else, I think that chart is a crock of shit, but I differ because I'm not a fat shit.

:winkwink:

Agreed. I think +10 to each box would make it more accurate. So like 5'7", 20, 135 would be about right.

shermo 02-21-2008 02:58 PM

Weight appropriate! I have to be happy with this as 6 months ago, I was 35 lbs heavier. :)

Peaches 02-21-2008 02:58 PM

Whew - I'm just overweight :)

My ex husband was 6'2" at 185 and was a perfect weight, IMO. He certainly was NOT underweight or scrawny by any stretch of the imagination. He had very broad shoulders and just enough of a tummy where he wasn't flat.

lhizy_05 02-22-2008 04:58 PM

no I'm not, i'm just only an overweight... huhuhu :(

I would slit my fucking wrists if I gained that much weight.

Try just bleeding a little instead, maybe lose a couple? :1orglaugh

And you can always turn to bulimia. No need to off yourself when you can just gag yourself! :1orglaugh

I'm 5' 4 1/2" and somewhere between an 18 and 19.

I am 33 years old, and on a strict vegetarian diet now. I just put on a pair of jeans that were tight on me 2+ years ago and they slide off even buttoned. I think they're a size 7.

Its true, your metabolism might slow down a bit as you get older, but ultimately it is what you put in your body.

I don't eat (or try not to) anything with high fructose corn syrup, fake sweeteners like aspartame, or microwaved food. I do not drink soda or kool-aid or alcohol.

And its amazing, after cutting that stuff out its like they are toxic and you don't want them anymore. At least it works for me!

And the plus of a vegetarian diet, I eat tons of fruit, your hair and nails grow super fast. And skin looks so much better.

oh yeah, and when you don't drink Redbull and eat like shit, you don't even get indigestion from fruit and veggies.

I love it, it works for me. But I am very cautious of speeding buses now. :1orglaugh

I'm 5'3 and 105 but I can't imagine being 140 and still being in the "okay" range. When my dad was sick and I was sitting in a hospital room for weeks at a time with people bringing truckloads of food and deserts, I gained about 8 pounds. At my height, I could tell a big difference. All my clothes were tight and I was miserable.

I know I don't eat right but in the last year I took pilates and then yoga and I could definitely see changes in my body for the better. I'm taking bjj classes now and my teacher makes us do 30 minutes of cardio stuff, push-ups, and this thing where you kind of push yourself across the floor. He also makes us do this special form of hell called "kettlebells". Holy shit, I hate that part.

But if it came to being fat or throwing up, I'd just have to be fat because I cannot handle the puking thing. Throwing up is one of my worst fears. :1orglaugh
