That's quite the admission of innocence eh? Packing up shop and heading for the hills! Innocent folk don't collapse under criticism like this...

Don't worry he's likely to be back with something new... they always do. Rather than put the same effort into something honest.

CyberHustler 02-20-2008 08:25 AM

I wonder if templatemonster will want me to take the template down for that blog... I want to keep it :thumbsup

Now since the site is out of business I think is clear that they are scammers...
all this proofs are to much for them to handle it and they preferred to quit.

of course, they closed shop and took off. there's no information under the whois, they'll close all their accounts and start fresh either somewhere else with the same scam, or under a different name. closing shop was nothing more than a complete admission of guilt. they tried to cover their ass, and got called on it, and outed again, then they ran. this concludes this chapter... until next time folks...

I would imagine that someone from GFY went crying to GoDaddy and things are just "suspended pending investigation".

lol, "crying"? Yes, it's better to let the thieves and crooks run rampant

HairToStay 02-20-2008 09:31 AM

Yet his mainstream site is still up, the one registered with 2checkout.com when you buy his templates from xyjak.com

Most people here jump to conclusions without having ANY of the real facts. Were they up to no good? Possibly. Did they do something that would warrant me taking time out of my day to worry about it and try to play internet policeman, nope. I've got plenty of my own business to worry about.

I guarantee that this site will be back.

Spudman 02-20-2008 09:36 AM

man i was lucky not to buy any of his templates, they were looking good, god damn scammers :(

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 02-20-2008 09:41 AM

if you ask me, i'd say he pulled his shit when reports to templatemoster's legal team came into play. whats the best way to avoid shit hitting the fan? destroy the evidence...

wpkings 02-20-2008 09:42 AM

I'm kind of surprised that he tried to brand his site using an exact replication of the logo of one of the most well-known sites online.

True enough, but let's not forget about the other side of the population that can have the facts right in their face and still defend.

Yes of course. Looks to me that plenty of people bought stolen goods, so that pretty much makes it their business.

Strickie 02-20-2008 09:58 AM

Well, that was quick

lazycash 02-20-2008 10:43 AM

The gfy hammer strikes again, seems another noob has learned the hard way.

cezam 02-20-2008 10:50 AM

funny. just received a refund from 2checkout, although I did not ask for it

Considering that this is GFY, I would venture to guess that the person who got them shut down didn't buy anything from him.

that is assuming someone got them shut down. seems a little quick for a complaint to take that level of effect. if they did though, good show godaddy on the quick response time. takes my registrar longer than that to answer most support tickets :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Klen 02-20-2008 12:09 PM

Looks like template monster eated them as jace said.

V_RocKs 02-20-2008 01:37 PM
