Very few, if any, people are sure what goes down after you move on from this mortal coil.
The unknown breeds fear. Psychology 101. |
How about death by being eaten alive? So, one minute you are alive and happy and pointing at the lions, then you are being clawed and your ass is ripped open by a lion as they gnaw and chew on you, all the while you know exactly what is going on. Eventually, the wounds kill you but by then you've suffered for 5 minutes watching and feeling yourself being eaten by lions. Are you afraid?

It's also ingrained in our genes.
Take someone that's not hungry. Ages ago, when there was a flicker out of the corner of someone's eye, a loud roar, and then the movement of some branches... Some might have gone "I wonder what that's all about," and went to investigate. We're, generally, the offspring of the ones that ran. :) The unknown breeds fear. It's a healthy, survivalist-type response. |

Life is selfish you retard. Fear of the unknown, sad that you'll never be able to see/talk to that person again, fear of a possible painful death process. Think about it.
|
It's sad when somebody dies because you won't see them again. You won't be together again, most especially when that person is sooo close to you and death is something of unexpected.
But I am not afraid to die. I am afraid on the effect of my absence when i die. I don't want my love ones feel that loneliness that death brings... :( |
