Desktop PC Recommendations Needed - GoFuckYourself.com

I am looking for a new desktop PC for my personal assistant.
Needed for the following

* Word Processing, Excel, etc
* Running Adobe Premier to rip mini DV Tape into AVI.
* Transferring images from CD/DV to external drive via Firewire or preferable ESata
* running FTP software

Not looking for a high end gaming machine, however don't want a budget machine that will crass or run real slow when using premier and a few other programs at the same time.

Budget <$1000

It was a personal rec... I have one and its fine.

$1150 sounds like overkill for a Dell to run those apps.
