My Favorite Part of Romania.....

is my office, aka "war station" and im finally almost satisfied.

one man operation, kind of makes me wish i had the multi tasking ability of "pilot" some of you might know who that is, but anyway.

On the left is the lappy, 180GB HDD, 256MB Nvidia Video, 2 GB Ram, Dual Core AMD Turion 64/x2 4000+

The sucker on the right is a 500GB HDD, 256MB Nvidia Video, 2 GB Ram, Core2Duo 2.2GHz Processor

and the motha fucka in the middle is my baby. Dual 512MB Nvidia Cards, Dual Monitors, 4 GB Ram, 2 TB HDD 10k RPM Sata, Intel Core2Quad 2.2Ghz.

You cant tell all the usb toys laying around either, its dark (-: but they consist of a wifi phone, 3 webcams, and an all-in-one combo behind me (printer, fax, copier), and 2 USB HDD's consisting of 1 TB of storage space.

Needless to say on top of all this bragging I am finally almost happy with my system, the only thing I am missing is interior and exterior monitoring of my residence, give me a few weeks.....

I am living in romania working through the night (usa time = biz), in Romania, where we americans have been told about the vampires of the night.

as far as the 2.2, i was referring to the c2d not the c2q, so my bad on a mistake, i have the 2.0

well man, part of my quest i guess, i had some previous business endeavors here before and i just havent left yet.

It's a hop skip and a jump away from anywhere in europe. A lot of cool people on this side of the world and some new experiences.

I will be coming back stateside eventually, probably out to the west coast.

well, i live in a full sized apartment. Full sized kitchen, living room, bedroom, bath, huge entry way, my office and 2 balconys in the city center.

pretty relaxed, 2nd to top floor dont get too many gyps knockin my door beggin.

45 days wired shut taught me a lot of things...

the bar i went to that night is now closed down.

It's been alright here lately, hell that was when i first got here and didnt know the layout of the town, ive got it down now and avoid those complicated areas.

Nice setup. I used to work with a guy that was a percussionist for the Romanian National Symphony. He had some great stories like how they were so poor that the same place they used for rehearsals was also used to build coffins in. He left about 15 years ago when things there were very bad.

What is cost of living over there like? Cheap, average?
