Suggestions in light of the new Visa Rules

Being a Canadian and running a small membership site with affiliates, I'm in no position to incorporate myself in the States nor pay the registration fees now imposed.

If you were me, what would you do? Close up shop? Drop the affiliate program (I use IBill because I like the affiliate script they provide) and somehow bill new members via PayPal? Take payments via money order or cheque? Sell my site and lose the potential headaches? Or do something else that I haven't mentioned here.

November 1st is coming quick so I have to make my decision fast

Sell to a friend in the US for $1. Have them pay you 99% of revenues to maintain the site.

Close your biz?? EH? *s* Na!

Check out all the non US processors out there - there are plenty of em and *apparently* no problems with US corps and Tax Code shit..

And.. the world don't revolve around IBill, CCBill blah.. they just happen to have made a business outta processing and be based in the US...

Peace!

Non-US processors? Can anyone point me in the direction of some in Canada?

This is all bullocks stuff that is going around... it only applies *basically* to US citizens/companies... contrary to what has been said by some. You ain't (presumably) a US citizen or got any business based there - so you are not "obliged" to come under their laws or involve yourself with what is fundamentally three US based domestic processors.

There is a panic created by Ibill, CCBill, Epoch blah suggesting you can't run a business on the net unless you sign up some forms, incorporate in the US and have a US Tax Code - all bollocks in an attempt to hold on to their clients - understandable!

I am not going to recommend any processor (who can?).. but you will find that Globill and others have at least made the effort to think globally, rather than be subjected to the whims of the US side of the business.

Verotel have also declared some link on their site related to this.. however, Verotel, least as far as I am concerned, ain't got a hope.

Check Google for tranaction processors... also in the next while you will see plenty coming to the forefront as possibles - and not based in the US. Many already have global banking relationships and have been around for a good few years - they have no problems in doing business with ya!

I will go with http://cybersexnetwork.com/ and charge more than I did before for my paysites.
I will switch my Partnership Program and pay my affiliates per signup.
I will wait 6 months until this shit is clear enough for everybody and in the meantime I will go back to my good old casinos.
I will quit my VISA and get another CC because they suck.

How is AVS supposed to help? You won't get anywhere near the same income from signups.

I was charging 19,95$
now with http://cybersexnetwork.com/ I will charge 29,95$
They pay 100% of the initial signup (29,95$ or 1,95$ if its a trial) and 20$ reccuring for each month
That's the best temporary solution I found for my case

Look around - there are a lot of AVS that will fit your plan.

i havent had too much time with the move to delve too deeply into this new situation that has arisen, but I am confident that the big boys like Epoch/Paycom and CCBill are broadening their horizons in such a way you say Globill has....

I just cant imagine them sitting at their desks, boardrooms empty with theit thumbs up their asses.... take some valume, you will be OK ;-)
