- Can only get onto a few other sites, and those seem totally random (and intermittent). Google searches work fine, but I can't go to any of the links except for the very few exceptions. Interestingly it is the same sites that work each time, but it's about 1 in 50.
- It's not my connection - my Outlook is working just fine, as is are my other 2 computers.
- I've not installed anything at all, or fiddled around with any settings or anything. I've ran virus scans and spyware scans and am getting nothing alarming.

It's been like this all day now, and today I tried a bunch of measures to make it work, none of which did anything:

- Uninstalled Mcafee
- Cleared all temporary internet files
- Checked settings on IE and Firefox

Anybody have anything like this before? I'm thinking it might be a firewall issue somewhere, but so far nothing looks to be changed.

ARGGG!

i assume you have a router between your cable modem and pc? try removing it and plugging the cable modem into the pc and see what happens

If you can access a site, your internet access isn't broke. You have a different issue. Have you checked your hosts file?

well.. wouldn't it make sense to automatically flag videos linked to from sites with "fuck" in the name thats clearly associated with adult content?

not exactly rocket science.

We got a bunch of affiliates submiting videos of our desktop strippers on youtube and they're doing great. Videos don't get deleted unless they contain nudity, mot of them use a whatever domain to bounce the traffic with their linking code to us. I guess the key with youtube is to promote softcore stuff.

Okay, what was the point in posting this? The watermark on the vid isn't a redirect.

Cory W 07-06-2008 11:02 AM

Correct me if I am wrong, but Youtube, by definition, is an illegal tube site. They have a variety of unauthorized videos on the site.

But using them to promote your paysite is ok?

(NO RICKROLL - I PROMISE!)

This is Teen Deja from TNA Cash and Mandy Mayhem from Hawt Money. This is a great example of what we can put up on YouTube.

I have a handful of videos up on YouTube and I get comments every day about them.

Who else does this?

Posting pirated content on boards is fine as well, in fact piracy is fine. So long as you are not the guy who suffers from it. Just another double standard from the business.

It's not anything big to get your content deleted from youtube. Anyone submitting to them has prob had at least one video go over the line. I still have some that get removed. I'm going to bet the majority of the people flaming in here haven't ever submitted a video.

You can find 100's of blog posts and forums that talk about marketing on youtube. It's not some deep secret that some of are acting like. And GFY, isn't the adult industry, so telling people here doesn't get the word out.

Reaching out and learning to promote on mainstream social/video sites, facebook, even myspace, is all about getting YOUR traffic back and keeping yourself alive through the industry change. Surfers are not looking for us like they once did but if we put our ads/marketing in front of them they still buy.
