Who can process tangible goods?

I currently used PayPal and Ibill, and sell only tangible goods (dvds, etc.).

PayPal is the cheapest and is great but not everybody wants to be bothered signing up and using it.

Ibill has the usual "screw you" vampire rate, pays a month later when they feel like it, and doesn't work overseas, so I have needed both.

So it looks like I will be hit with the Visa nonsense not once but twice.

So is anybody else out there doing real products not subscriptions? Near as I can tell CCBill, GloBill, etc. will not handle actual products???

OK, stupid question, but does the Visa mess even apply to tangible goods - not subscriptions?

I believe tangible goods are not "high risk" transactions. I would just get my own merchant account if I were you.

Steve, we have a shopping cart solution called ShopCenterPro. We should have demos up before then end of the month. I know there are a few clients that are currently using it (selling dvds and such). There are some initial fees, however it integrates with a reseller program (so you can have affiliates promote your products). Something to consider if you're looking around. If you're interested, just drop us a line on the site.

strainer,

Netbilling can process your tangible products and works with almost every shopping cart on the market or use our Free cart. There should be no setup or registration fees either. We process for thousands of sites selling products, both adult and mainstream.

Call Monday for a demo of our cart and to see our incredible admin area.

Thank You, Mitch Farber

We spoke with one of your Live Reps and the cart (s)he recomended wasn't very good.......

So, what is NetBilling doing about the Visa thing? I'm sure since your clients are using their own merchant accounts, they pay directly to...?

Mitch, we have a mutual acquaintance in the Santa Monica area, we should get together for a cup of coffee sometime, since I'm due out that way later this month....

Hi SykkBoy2,

I t would be nice to get together. I am not sure whcih cart was shown to you but each cart system is different. We are comnpatible with everything from Miva to our simple free cart. We kept our free cart very simple as there are so many extensove carts on the market that we wanted to build something that was hosted by us, customizable, and very easy to setup.

How extensive of a cart are you looking for?

As far as the new Visa regulations go, our merchants are not effected at all because they all have their opwn accounts and are already register with Visa and Mastercard. You do not need to be registered for tangible products, only membership sites.

Mitch

Well, we have a merchant account for tangibles, and we now have a shopping cart we're happy with

Since our sites have extremely low CB rates, we were mulling getting our own merchant account for our membership sites...would that entail the fee too or does this only apply to IPSPs?

Hi,

To get a high risk account, you will need to pay $1500 for the Visa/MAstercard registration. You will get paid daily and have full control over fraud scrubbing as well.

Can you call me on Monday to discuss the options?

888-357-8166

Good night.

Mitch
