If that's not small enough then check this one out lol

i have the shuffle (top picture) and i LOVE it! i though i'd have lost it by now but i've been pretty good with it. having a pair of headphone (actual headphones not the ear plug type) with it helps a lot. :) i love how small it is and that it clips onto clothing - it's AWESOME for when i'm on the treadmill.

i've never seen the second one pictured, though. what's the point of that?! :)

I have a shuffle, too. I don't use it as much as my regular iPod, but it's great for working out, running, working out in the yard, etc. I love it.

I'm in the process of buying a new laptop right now but I definitely couldn't handle that. I never use the one I have now because the 15" screen drives me bonkers. I'm getting something with a 17". I don't care if it weighs 40 lbs. :1orglaugh

Looks like a nice new toy - congrats!

Seems like a fun toy for me...

I'm thinking about getting one to run GPS tracking on my boat for distance races -- I love my Mac but Garmin doesn't support it, and I wouldnt be happy taking my work laptop on the boat, at least for the price of the Asus if it fell or got wet, I wouldnt be that upset... did you load Windows on it?

TubeTitans_SusieQ 02-08-2008 12:34 PM

why would someone want a laptop that small? I have one with a pretty big screen, but my eye sight also isnt the greatest

And then you read the thread title again and see it's a topic about laptops and you decided - once again- that you are a clueless fucking moron.
Loads of people have phones that do that and it's not cool.

And it's super stupid to post and compare things to them in a LAPTOP thread.

dready 02-08-2008 02:34 PM

I want to get one of those, just to run a VNC client on when I'm travelling.

The 2nd one fits onto a keyring, so maybe there's some draw that way. I honestly don't think I'd ever bother with an mp3 player myself, I just don't have the need for one, I have my Sirius for the home, and my laptop when i'm mobile and If I really really need music while i'm out for a walk I have a (shudder) Tape walkman lol

It's smaller and cost 1000 bucks, so not really the same effect as a 350 buck laptop...:2 cents:

I haven't lost mine yet... it's sort of funny though it's always at the bottom of my bag along with loose change and bits of garbage, I have to scoop around for it :1orglaugh

natas 02-09-2008 02:45 AM

I just checked one of these out at the mall today (I'm in Sydney)

$499 AUD - not bad value for something to check email/webpages on at the airport as was mentioned... strongly thinking of getting one although the macbook airs look gorgeous too..

please post more about it after you have been using it for a while :)

also how well does it run XP?

thanks :)

HouseHead 02-09-2008 02:47 AM
