    damn speeding tickets

    I hate 'em. Got my 2nd one in 6 months the other day.
    I don't mind the $110 fine, it's the de-merit points.

                                                          I had my first speeding ticket in about 8 years driving back from Vegas. I'm not sure, but I don't THINK it'll affect my merits. I hope not at least.

                                                              my worst was when I was in Kansas this summer dropping the kids off with their mother...the cop saw good old out of state plates

                                                              The fine was $270 for doing 90 in a 70, luckily he didn't catch me a couple miles sooner ;-)

                                                                  Jesus. I was caught going 40 in a 25 zone and my ticket was all of $40. I was expecting a couple hundred and actually laughed when he said $40.

                                                                                          Try using those ex-copper services, they're worth it. Its only about $50 - $100 more than the cost of the ticket but they really work wonders on getting your demerit points reduced.

                                                                                                      Take it to court. Almost without question they'll take off the points and cut the fine in half. At least in most parts of Canada.
