The original! That guy was a master at making a sale. I bet he had some of the best conversion ratios ever.

Thanks Amber, I rememebered Sam and Jeff after, but couldn't edit anymore. :)

Was that Cybernet 2000? In NOLA? Cause I was there. Hell, I remember Kimmy Kim on Netpond telling everyone on the board how to pronounce it properly, "Nawlins". My God, it's been that long.

I'm afraid that it HAS been that long. Crazy, right?!

Back then, you'd be very hard pressed to find a sponsor who gave you free hardcore content, or any content at all usually. Freehost's had top and bottom frames full of ads, and they came and went if you blinked your eyes.

What else?

Peaches 02-05-2008 02:19 PM

Hey, Anthony, we flew home together - why didn't you notice I was sick?!! ;) I remember you wearing a suit during that show and I treated you like a waiter in the buffet hall - you were not amused......

The show was in June or July, wasn't it? I know that my medical problems almost stopped me from going to Hawaii in August so it was before September.

Yep, I wore a suit for that show!!! Actually 2 for the 2 days. Good memory! :) Remember everyone thought the show was 3 days, when it was only 2.

I was styling and profiling in my Versace. Gawd, I'm still in love with Kiko Wu. :)

It was Gary Allen, you, and me on that flight back home. See, I didn't do too many drugs! :):):)

Didn't I sing along with you and Mark Tiarra during the show? Or was it just Mark?

I really wish I was more sober back then. :(

Totally!! What else...? Let's count the ways....

k, we'll start with:
1. Freehost's had top and bottom frames full of ads.
2. bukkake wasn't a popular, or even known, term
3...

3. Click Thru Calvin was the shit, and the precursor to NATS, though with clicks.
4. High Society and Serge bought every click known to man
5. Most webmasters didn't like using this new thing called the exit console

I was definitely not singing. I remember running into you in the hallway and you were wearing one of those suits though. i was definitely not anywhere close to sober that whole show.

7. AVS webmasters made alot of money
8. Everyone wanted to be an editor at DMOZ
9. My CJ was the biggest at one time. << Sorry had to put that in. :)
10. Colin created and finally put up http://buildinganempire.com

Mike Fold is the man. I learned so much from him on traffic, and how to filter it. I used everything I learned from him in my CJ's, down to how I did my consoles.

Much love and props to Old Fold. :)

Triple True!

I was literally talking about how I used to live by Click Thru Calvin just yesterday.

I don't think you get enough credit for being the man who taught everyone what it was to build your own traffic network, and that traffic leaks were money leaving your wallet.

People still don't get it. :)

I was 28 back when this madness started. :(
