LONDON (AFP) - Britons are losing their grip on reality, according to a poll out Monday which showed that nearly a quarter think Winston Churchill was a myth while the majority reckon Sherlock Holmes was real.

I shudder to think what you would get for results if you polled and inner city neighborhood in the USA. Or rural Iowa for that matter.

Hell, even a Hollywood red carpet event might give you some interesting answers.

Sounds like one of those Jay Leno skits when they ask people on the streets if they know who the president is and 80% say things like George Washington.
