i am using opera since version 0.9
i remember the filsize at those days : 700kb

I use both IE and Firefox...

Firefox! Even though there is a known memory leak issue with the browser. Also, see the standard diagnostic page.
IE simply does not offer the same functionality that Firefox does, as well the images looks like shit in IE!

Also, how many extensions are you running, and what is the "update frequency" of the extensions? (is Gmail Notifier checking every minute etc et cetera) Increasing the connection time[slash]check mail interval will help lower load.

I'm not sure why people rave about firefox so much, it has never performed well for me.

got Firefox open (2 windows, about 80 tabs in each windows), no problem whatsoever.

I have FF and IE but uses FF most of the time! :winkwink:

FF and seldom on IE7.
