Maybe naieve, but I have been trying to protect my son from the 'F' word and was proud to have never yet sworn in front of him.

But he just caught me posting here and read out the three imortal words "Go Fuck Yourself" when he saw it on the screen.

One of the dangers of working from home, I guess. Happy to report that he has not get witnessed any DP or similar. Guess it's just a question of not if but when...

But what shocks me is the amount of swearing on UK TV nowadays.

As long as its not psudeo profanity which I hate even more than people who use profanity a lot. If I here some church lady or some shit drop her carton of eggs in the store and yell fudge again I may loose it. It is the same damn thing, everyone knows your cursing and changing it to another word is in no way any more better nor should it be accepted.

If your kid's old enough to read it, I can assure you he's heard it plenty of times.

I argee with not swearing around him, but you're not really protecting him from anything...unless you have he chained to a ball in his bedroom.
