Cadillac Cts-v or BMW M3?

Ok Im having a very hard decision deciding between the 2 cars.

2004 black manual cts-v with nav

2003 bmw m3 convertible smg

Which would you choose? I live in san diego so the convertible would be nice but ive never driven either car. Thanks

I love the CTS-Vs.

Here is a black 2004. (if this hotlink works)

There is a great aftermarket too if you are into modding the engine.

I think they had 400+ horsepower in 2004. (I assume that is at the flywheel)

M3 blows, the back window is fucking plastic and it turns yellow after the first year or so. So either get the caddy or upgrade to a M4.

I owned and M3 Convertible for a few years and it was an awesome car to drive. You can't compare GM to BMW. Not that the Caddy is not a nice car but it has a totally different feel. The SMG and handling in the BWM is incredible.

M3 hands down. The CTS is pretty cheap on the inside and will rattle after a couple of months. On the other hand everyone will think you're a prick if you drive the M3. You have to choose which is the lesser of two evils for you. On the side note; if you do decide to get the M3 (which I would) I would recommend against the SMG.

Caddy has a DTS model which is a bit nicer (IMHO) then the cts, but both are sweet rides. This is my DTS Fully loaded with every option Caddy offers.

There is a big difference between the CTS-V and CTS (about 25k for one). I see way more M3s than I do CTS-V.

I have had a CTS-V for about year and have seen no more then 5-10 on the road. I love it and it will pretty much smoke anything stock in that price range.

Those are nice, but you don't get the manual tranny and 400 hp with those models.

I'm sure they are nice cars, but it just looks like a fancy VW to me.

Handling schmandling. Unless you go to a race course it's TORQUE that makes you giggle like a school girl.

The CTS-V is raw power.. the M3 is high-revving refined engineering masterpiece..

So it depends on what you think is fun - blowing people away on the streets.. cruisng by people in 4th gear on the highway like a locomotive..

Or bombing around the twisty mountain roads.. pushing a car to its limit with the eninge singing at 7k..

they really are two completely different driving experiences.

I am partial - I have the 'other' car with the LS6 v8 - an '02 corvette z06
