...about military recruitment. Only 3 out of 10 of those that are age eligible are otherwise eligible. Lack of education...criminal records...medical reasons and obesity are the primary disqualifiers. The Army has began offering waivers for some crimes...medical problems and has reduced the education requirements.

It was that a Highschool diploma was required...which was reduced to a GED...which has been reduced to scoring within the fourth level. The Army has four levels of classification...when times are good they take only those within the first level...less good...within the first and second level etc. Those in the fourth level have to know reading...writing...and arithmetic...in other words be literate...but not much more.When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!
