(CNN) -- Police officers were called to Britney Spears' house Thursday morning, police said.

Several officers with the North Hollywood Police Department left for the pop star's house about 12:55 a.m. Thursday (3:55 a.m. EST), an officer told CNN.

I think it's fricking ridiculous. I don't think CNN has ever been a very reliable or trustworthy news source, but they used to be a few notches above a tabloid.

I think the fascination with Brittany is pretty sick.
