He is doing an awesome job standing up against the West and especially America. It was in the interests of US to see Russia weak, but now the bear has awakened and whether you like it or not Putin's Russia is starting to influence the world politics.

He did a lot for Russia and will continue to do so in the future. Look what happened in the 1990's, all those crook Jews became billionaires overnight by robbing the country and now they all fled with that same money. He should track all those scums and throw them in jail just like he did with that Jew Khodorkovsky. may he rot in jail!

Dare to comment what? I also know that Medvedev will be a new president, because his rating is very high here. Personally I won't vote for him, but many other will.

Will he become independent? No one knows the answer. When Putin was elected he also was dependent from Eltzin but you saw that happened after. The same story could happen to Medvedev, or could not... I can't read his mind so I can't answer this question which is very stupid IMHO. Like if you asking me will the dollar continue falling after the next president's elections in the USA.
