do you have specific knowledge that some guy is aware that you are trying to start shit with him and knows he has a few minutes to respond because he owes you some kind of explaination? you cant present yourself as some kind of authority to which others need to respond to and plead ignorance at the same time. :2 cents: |
AMP - put the Ritalin down and slowly back away!
|
All I remember about Serge is that he ran a click brokerage...paid a few cents per click for traffic he resold at a higher price. I never understood why anyone would think that was a good deal when you could have a relationship directly with the sponsors and get the higher rate per click. The good, the bad, and the ugly was also around at the time and pretty much looked like it does now.
I also remember his site had a scan of a big check to prove he had money to pay out to people. If I could remember the url I'd go back and look at the Internet Archive and post a link. |
did it occur to anyone he's probably sleeping and thats why he's not posting :glugglug

saganaki (spelling)? |
Saganaki ROCKS. So does tsantali (both white and red)... love the baked lamb... rice, lemon potatoes thing... oh man, I would be so fat if there was a greek place closer.... :)
IF I get free tsantali I am joing the greek mafia! |
wow..... the "Serge Story" has culminated AND consists of basically, greek food.
Not putting you guys down or anything cuz of course the food rocks..... but if it was me, I surely wouldn't have let my *story* amount to a discussion of spiced potatos...... but then, Serge's story probably isn't anywhere near as exciting as potatos. |
Ouzo is pretty good actually.

Please dont piss on my potatoes.... |
lol yes,saganaki :-)
tsantali is indeed cheap wine, but still good. We have many excellent wine brands, but they are costly even here since producers export the majority of them in countries like Germany where the customers are willing to pay a price 10 or more times higher in a restaurant. |
It's really amazing... I didn't think it was possible, but I have even LESS respect for Serge now than I did when I woke up this morning....
the man (and I use that term VERY loosely) can't even own up to his own history...... Nothing more pathetic than an inflated ego getting in the way of being a human being. |
Strange! When I went to Germany, the wine was sooo cheap. And Germans seem to be so proud of their local commodities that it seems strange they would import something like wine!
I can definitely see the wine coming to Canada and USA and ultimately ending up in restaurants for like $25 a bottle... (even tho I can get it at the liquor store for under $10 cad) |

Ouzo, i'm telling you.
|
Yeap, they do,they import both wine and oil like many other european countries and usa due to excellent quality. Same happens with spanish wine and oil. I believe most of these wine labels you'll find them in bit of expensive restaurants, probably, Equinox can confirm this. Have in mind though that we are talking for a small productions limited to few thousands bottles per year. Tsantali on the other hand should be cheap in every country,it's a common wine that is produced in large quantities like ouzo.
|
I gotta go on more vacations. Wish I was rich like everyone else on GFY :)
|
soul - red greek wine starts with a b, and is pretty common. boutinari - don't think that's it. anyway, great red wine for the price...
|
boutari is a nice wine in affordable price,it's exported to many countries, from what i saw on their site in USA you can find it at

I don't know the whole Serge story but I know some.
When I first met Serge in 1997, he was driving an old beat up station wagon with rusted holes in the floor. He's a Russian emigre and came America, if I remember correcty, at 22 years old, with $100 in this pocket. At teh time, he was brokering clicks and is a fantastic deal-maker. Someone might think "Oh, he was just brokering clicks". Well, he was one of the very first people to purchase clicks of any kind forming COTAC for that purpose. Many of us sold clicks to Serge and he sold them for higher amounts. He was the one to have the wisdom to broker clicks, he was the best at it - he aligned himself with big traffic pushers, and he got bulk rates from the traffic purchasers so that the sellers made more than they would have selling to the buyers. He was very successful at it and certainly made many millions. He now lives in a beautiful house here in South Florida. A few years ago, he officially retired. Unofficially, he still owns pieces of this and that - and still brokers deals in the middle of the night. |

But I still don't care. Serge is a useless piece of shit. So he's a useless piece of shit living in a nice ass house..... he still gets zero respect from me. Not that he cares anyway.... cuz he's so huge. :glugglug |
"you know Colin..... I actually believe this coming from you. Honestly. No bullshit. I trust you. "
