Democrats are not to blame, we are the ones who vote for something we think we know.
Jews, blacks, mormons, women, husbands with wife who has cancer is a HUGE unknown.
Same here, but I would rather side with the capitalists over the entitlement crowd.
I am a capitalist, before ANY political affiliation.
If you think only republicans are for capitalism and republicans aren't for entitlements you're fucking stupid. Sen Ted Stevens REPUBLICAN from Alaska is known as the KING of pork. The only republican that is truly anti-entitlement is Ron Paul

I won't even bother trying to talk to you, your name calling gets old real fast.
My thought (assuming edwards doesn't pull off a miracle) is that if he goes up against Hillary he will win. The christian conservatives hate her so much they will begrudgingly vote for McCain who they don't like at all. If it is Obama he goes against I think it is anybodies election because it would be a younger, fresh voice against the career politician so the fireworks would fly.

I keep asking which red states does Obama wins. It doesn't matter is he gets 99% of the vote in those blue states. 2000 should have told you that actual vote totals don't matter.

I've answered this in a couple of other threads but maybe you didn't see it so here goes again.
A case could be made that he could win any or all of these states: Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Virginia. All of these were states that were won by Bush in 2004, but in each case the margin of victory was less than 10% and in the case of Iowa it was actually less than 1%. New Mexico and Nevada were also won by Bush by less than 3%. If you go back and look at the maps from when Bill Clinton ran in 1992 and 1996 he actually won a handful of southern states. So the idea of of a democrat winning a southern state is not that far removed from reality. Obama could go into a couple of these states where they have a large black population and get them to vote for him. If you couple that with the reality that many in in the conservative christian right may not support McCain it could be enough to swing a couple of these states into Obama's column.
I'm not saying he would pull it off, but there are at least 6 states that Bush won in the last election that Obama would have a chance of winning.
If McCain vs Clinton I think it could be as close as the last two elections with no reason to think one will triumph. There's a whole lotta election left and who knows what will happen in that time, what strategy will backfire and so on.
Could easily come down to one state and even the weather can change an election when that happens.
The last two elections were largely a tale of urban vs rural.
He is the ONLY candidate who is NOT:
Mormon,
Black,
Woman
which is good enough for the majority of the country to vote for.
Saaaaaaaaaaad.
This is why the Democrats have to wake up and put John Edwards forward. This freak show of potential presidents has been fun and all but can't we, the democrats put up someone who could actually win? Why is that so hard?

Because they are part of the war machine. They dont want to win.
