WordPress blog stopped accepting submissions

For some reason one of my blogs, when I try to add a new entry, goes to a blank page and does not save it.

Have optimized the MySQL database, rebuilt PHP and shut off all plugins (search shows some people think it is a plugin issue). Nothing helped.

Any ideas?

Anything in the server logs? mod_security blocking it for some reason perhaps?

- Check your server's available space (including MySQL if it was alloted)
- Double check to see if a certain script (unrelated to WP perhaps) is maxing out your resources.
- What do you mean you "rebuilt" PHP?

If your positive you are fine on space and resources, then try displaying all PHP errors and warnings to see if that gives you an idea of what is going on...hopefully the blog is not too populated otherwise this isn't going to work well security-wise.

Good luck

Good luck. Have you tried posting with something like blogdesk instead of using the wordpress admin? Might sound dumb and not work but at least worth a try if you tried everything else.

A blank page generally means either server resources are nearing max or that critical errors are being suppressed.

And on the note of 'Cyber-Hu$tler'...
Why not try directly adding a post to your MySQL database and see if it displays?

. . . and if that works it won't solve the problem as we have about 500 registered users that need to be able to add to it.

You're updating inside Wordpress, right?

Try this:

If your new post admin is located at say http://www.SOMEDOMAIN.com/wp-admin/post-new.php manually change it to drop the www so it reads http://SOMEDOMAIN.com/wp-admin/post-new.php. If it's showing without the www by default, then add it instead.

See if it will accept your post like this.

It won't fix the problem at all, but if you can post then we can see what's going on somewhat.

Also double check WHO you are pinging...occasionally if a ping fails the post will not go through and hang like it is now. Maybe disable all pings and alerts for now and see if you can post.

Well, it is at least four different people (most likely more) that are having this problem.

When one of our 500 users submits a post they can only save, not publish. Everyone gets a blank page whether they are saving or save and continue editing.

In fact, there is one post that is sitting in the queue (obviously got in before the trouble started), and I can not approve it either. Just goes to a blank page when I hit publish.

existing posts did, but we can add no new ones, so kind of hard for them to ping.
