Fletch I know Humboldt County has the name recognition and is part of the Emerald triangle, so is Mendocino and Trinity County as well if I recall. I personally would also throw in Siskiyou County myself but that's a little secret around here with the locals. The water is just better and well that is a lot to do with it.
You get the same of everything though a few are closer to the coast but that is not a big deal anyways cause its all winding roads to get to them and honestly they are not even that impressive beach wise.
As for the growing, all of them have the same basic very old school republican ideals and yes I said republican even hippieville USA Humboldt County. Just the difference is these type of republics do not give a rats ass what you put in your body, do to yourself, or do in private among other adults. They feel the medicinal marijuana laws are just that laws and they must be enforced as such and as far as they are concerned the DEA and the Federal Government are not their bosses and that the people of the state of California are and that is the law we wanted and was passed. Even if they personally disagree with it they will not give you any flack as long as your not obviously growing for commercial purposes and even then it would be a cold day in hell or fucking the locals sheriffs daughter and getting caught doing it before they would allow the feds to just come in and fuck shit up.
