I dont really drink. Once in a blue moon.

cherrylula 01-29-2008 09:51 AM

People who say they don't drink, but drink occasionally, drink. :1orglaugh

Brother Bilo 01-29-2008 09:54 AM

I don't drink like I used to, that's for sure. I've settled down lately, mostly because I actually like my gf, so I'd rather spend time with her.

Never thought it would happen to me, but I actually grew up a little bit. Shit!

TG Rebecca 01-29-2008 09:56 AM

i don't drink. i never had a drinking problem or anything, but when i was younger i got a lot of partying out of my system. now i'm content never drinking again. i've even tried to have a couple of drinks here and there and i don't even finish them. just don't have it in me anymore. :)

this is the truest statement of all

Fletch XXX 01-29-2008 10:02 AM

i always laugh at people who claim they dont drink, but "will have one on the weekend or at a party."

Attend a party where everyone is drinking and not have one, then come claim you dont drink.

Paco, of Large Cash. 01-29-2008 10:02 AM

I drink.

I have not drank to get drunk for close a decade.

I'll enjoy one, or maybe two, Kilkenny (beers), or a glasses of (#2 - 4) German Riesling (wine).

I do not touch the crack of alcohol (hard liquor)---10% is my max. It's too much of a diuretic, and makes me feel like shit.

I drink at least 3 bottles of wine myself every week.

I quit drinking alcohol 18 years ago.
just got tried of drinking, ended up not really enjoying the buzz from it or the hang overs.

BradM 01-29-2008 10:19 AM

Once a month I will go out to dinner and have a few beers. I rarely drink and never get "drunk". I also do not like hard alcohol. The taste really bothers me.

Damn, you even choose your wine carefully because of that 10% max, huh? I guess German Riesling was the best choise once they normally are not over 10%, isn't that right?

Very impressive thoughts bausch! :thumbsup

I was actually surprised when I read your post. That really sounds myself talking. :winkwink:

Not a drinker here at the age of 22... and no way should i engage to it. :)

I think people get into drinking because they either go clubbing or bars or because their friends drink and got them into it.

I never go clubbing (not even when I was younger) and I never go to bars and I don't have a lot of friends so there's no one to get me into/introduce me to drinking in the first place (not when I was younger either) and I don't really feel an urge to suddenly just start drinking out of the blue when I'm just sitting in front of my pc all day. What would be the point?? There's not really a motivation for me to drink and no reason to. Also I never had lots of friends who drank (because I am more of solitary person). I mean I'm not going to introduce MYSELF to drinking. Another drinker would need to do that.

I'm not a party person. I think drinking is a social thing and I don't socialize. I like to eat though. Eating is fun by yourself. But drinking? Not really.

Beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy.

Why would I deny myself that? :)

I don't drink cause I'm anti social and hate people and I don't party. A party for me is laying on the couch watching tv or surfing around on the internet. If I REALLY want to go wild I will go to the movies (in public around other people in a real theater with real life people).

Jesus bausch why are you in this thread? :1orglaugh

We get it. You don't like people and you never leave your house.

Are you looking for sympathy or what? I mean you've posted 5x as many times in this thread as anyone else.

:Oh crap
Woooo, man!!! It's my choice.

I am not saying it is right or wrong for anybody else. I am merely saying the it's number I shoot for because anything higher (in %) tends to effect my athletic performance (ski mountaineering, 'cycling etc).

So what if I tend to like the sweeter drinks, which tend to be lower in alcohol. My personal preference, should not mean shit to anybody, other than me.

WoW! 01-29-2008 11:01 AM

I try to avoid places that do not serve beer.

I just want to make sure people get it! Just making sure!

I always have to say something 5x to get people to listen to me, I feel small and invisible!

I just want to stand on my roof and scream it out loud so the world can hear me!

LadyMischief 01-29-2008 11:14 AM

I do not drink alcohol anymore. I was diagnosed with a genetic bleeding disorder, and drinking alcohol is like taking bloodthinners. I even get touched or a handshake when I have a drink and I am bruised for weeks. I don't really find it a loss at all though, I was never a big drinker in the first place.

nikki99 01-29-2008 11:14 AM

almost 1 year here, lost about 4kilos since february 2007 :thumbsup

WarChild 01-29-2008 11:28 AM

I _mostly_ don't drink. That is to say I just don't really like it, and I train too often to be hung over so for the most part I rarely ever drink.

KILL_FRENZY 01-29-2008 11:36 AM

I have to quit drinking alcohol

selena 01-29-2008 11:51 AM

I have, at times in my life, drank like a fish.

Though where that saying comes from, I'm not sure.

Now my situation is such that I bought 6 bottles of wine after Thanksgiving, and I have 4 of them left. I enjoy the ritual of a glass of wine now and then, without the need to drink myself into a blackout.

The last man standing for me in terms of ingestible addictions is caffeine. I don't drink coffee, but do get testy when deprived of my Diet Dr. Pepper.

Rexk, man, you can hang with me and we'll drink water and Diet Coke and coffee all night long - and remember the fun in the morning ;)

JayDeeZee 01-29-2008 12:07 PM

I recently gave up drinking.

Tom_PM 01-29-2008 12:13 PM

I'm not a drinker.

Maybe twice a year I buy a 12 pack of labatt blue. Usually after about 6 of them, they're so old they taste like they were filtered through an old gym sock, so I'm not sure that counts.

In any case, it's extremely extremely rare.

chadknowslaw 01-29-2008 12:17 PM

A drank heavily from age 15 up to 31 when I was arrested for the 4th time. I passed the field sobriety tests --barely -- but ended up blowing over .33 on the official applause meter. When I checked myself into a treatment center 2 days later I started 4 days of helacious DT's. I spent a month at the in-patient facility and have not had a drink since. February 22 will be 9 years sober.

I think I drank my lifetime quota in less than 16 years. No more for this alcoholic!

OMG bausch....

you know, you... dont really make sense

why do you want to scream out loud that you hate people? why do you think, this is the right place to do it? this is GFY, a forum for adult webmaters built on bulshit, pointless discussions and hate. No one here will help you, and no one here cares about you (or almost no one)

you have made your point clear enough so many times

you hate people... yes, we get it! but the question is, why do you want us to know it? or- better yet - why do you hate people?

also, usually people like you try to change their situation....
and you're emphasizing all the time how you hate people, and you almost get ofended if someone suggests you could be thinking about someone?

ok, let me ask you, are you happy with your life?

you may be feeling good cause you're used to your lifestyle, but i don't think you're happy deep-inside

emphasising how you hate people in real life and telling strangers on an adult industry chat board how you want to " stand on my roof and scream it out loud so the world can hear me!" is strange

if you don't change anything, one day you'll realise, that you've been fooling yourself that you're satisfied with your life, and then you'll go on your roof and jump instead of screaming :helpme

and what you'll reply to me now? you'll reply that you're offended and that I'm patronizing you with my post :arcadefre

I am not a drinker, but my girlfriend yells at me when I say I don't drink.

I get sufficiently plastered at least 1 time each year. I'm also a big fan of some frozen melon drink at Applebee's...but it's more like a smoothie than it is a hard drink.

What's a liver? Is that the hard leathery like shriveled up thing that's supposed to filter my blood? I replaced it with a sump pump filter, works much better.

Octopus 01-30-2008 02:19 AM

I don't drink more than a year. I have some problems with my health. What can I say? At first it was not easy, because I like alcohol. But right now I feel excellent.
