    Question about female dogs

    Do female dogs even have these messy monthly things after they have been "helped"?

    My girlfriend wants a chiwawa and I am all good with that but they are hard to get on a small island. Now I see an advert for a female one and since I am stupid I really dont know about these things. I just want to keep it at one (max two) dogs and I dont want a bloody house or a chiwawa walking around in pampers...

                      female dogs dont go into heat "every month" there is no monthly,,... its a bit longer than that

                                          I think they're only bleeding once a year... we just bougt a female which just had it's "period"... not that big an issue... she's just wore a "diaper" for 2 weeks and that's it...

                                                  Twice a year, and sometimes more often depending on the bitch, and the proximity of other bitches and intact males.

                                                  Most times you'll never notice it though, they tend to clean up after themselves, or at least mine did.
