my mom actually has a recipe for beef tongue, but i've never had it.

I've had tongue before - its pretty good. In fact I didn't realize what it was when I ate it, only afterwards. It kind of grossed me out after the fact but while I was eating it = quite tasty :)

My step dad use to have a recipe for cow tonque that I absolutely loved. It was a filipino dish but it was absolutely tasty.

With a grandfather who owned a cattle ranch we ate cow's tongue - usually on a dare. It wasn't bad, IIRC.

Is it just me or does that look like a small cows tongue? The ones we used to eat were easily 10lbs.
