I think the reason its been up for so long is because it performs better than any of their other banners.
The only people who wouldnt promote a program because of a banner on gfy are those with no traffic to begin with. If the programs good it will be promoted since its money in your pocket whether there banner is annoying or even if it injects cancer into your nut sack.

Have you ever seen them try with another banner up there? Maybe one without sound?

The point is it bothers a lot of ppl, but fortunately they are taking it down. Nonetheless, it has been the cause of hundreds of threds on gfy over the years, so maybe it did succeed.

I have to ask this question because it needs to be asked... What is worse, a banner? or 5 prechecked cross sales below the submit button. It's amazing how fast this industry changes. I took down the banner, but I dont see anyone taking down their shady x sales.
Now, I have to ask, am I loosing affiliates now? I'm seeing a mass exodus of people leaving these programs because they dont want to be apart of the theft and fraud, and yet, you complain about a banner. This industry is often quoted as "shooting itself in the foot." I disagree... It's more like "it goes in for surgery on the foot and cuts off the healthy one." No disprespect, but in hindsite I think there were/are more pressing matters going on than a banner.... a banner for god sakes.
