RIP

28 years old - there is more of a chance that he died because of that kind of thinking than of natural causes - but who knows - i'm sure everybody suspects it's going to be drug related but maybe he had some fluke medical thing like an aneurysm or a bad heart.

tragic :Oh crap

Martin 01-22-2008 05:00 PM

Yeah man I can't beilive that this guy killed himsilf or OD'ed by mistake. With the new Batman coming out and all that it's just to hard to buy that story. He knew too much about something and got wacked.

Quagmire 01-22-2008 05:05 PM

Looks like suicide. They found over the counter sleeping pills beside him.

that would be even more tragic - if it is suicide just shows again that fame and money don't buy happiness.

such a loss

DivaShane 01-22-2008 05:36 PM

I was shocked when I heard. I had to go look it up in google to make sure. It's so sad when this happens. I had been a fan since A Knights Tale. RIP

RIP Heath Ledger

Every time I read about another young person that dies from a drug overdose I realize how lucky I am to be alive.

I was in a very serious car crash and was cold blue and given my last rites when I was twenty years old. I have always felt that I must have a special purpose on this planet or else I would have died then.

I guess this is why I try to live each day to the fullest and truly do try and do what I can for others.

I hope to leave some legacy behind when it is my turn to go, until then I will make sure to laugh, love and live each day like its my last.

RIP Heath Ledger

another drug addict gone, why do people feel so sorry for people who kill themselves while taking as many different types of drugs as they can?

i laugh when people OD not cry and weep for them.

He shouldnt have been taking all kinds of drugs if he wanted to live forever.

the guy was on better drugs than people like me and you can get legally, he had prescriptions for his though, so no one will point the "drug addict" finger - but I will - his kind are glamourized while he gets his drugs from doctors, but people who smoke a joint of marijuana oh no they are DRUG HEADS!!!!

alby_persignup 01-23-2008 07:37 AM

It was a bit shocking since he was on his midst of popularity. I heard he was under influenced of some drugs.

I watched a documentary about them a couple of months ago that was unreal. The Most Hated Family in America, or something like that. I think it was on Discovery or maybe BBC America.

This British journalist lives with them for a few weeks and interviews them, goes to protests, goes to their church services, etc. It was some good shit, lol. Try to watch it if you get those channels and they're still running it.

his autopsy hasnt even been released yet and people are calling it a drug OD.. it amazes me that people are so quick to judge, especially those in adult.. keep an open mind folks and wait till the autopsy results come in...

although it may have been a drug overdose, lets wait to see the results before we judge...

end of tape.......

CNN was running a clip of an interview he supposedly did a couple of months ago and you'd be hard pressed to convince me that he wasn't totally tweaked out. He looked like he was about to crawl out of his skin and his face and cheeks were all sunken in. He might have been using sleeping pills to come down.

If you're a celebrity and you put yourself out there in that sort of condition, then I think it's reasonable to expect people to speculate.

Zango 01-23-2008 08:11 AM

Kbizzle, were you the first to get the call as usual? His dad call you and let you know before everyone else? I think he did.

i saw the interview and you could just as easily speculate that he was overly tired or depressed. again, i think people should wait to judge until the autopsy reports come in... :2 cents:

You must have watched a different interview because there was nothing overly tired about him, lol. He looked like he was about to flap his arms and take off.

My grandmother watches interviews with Clay Aiken and cannot imagine why I insist on telling her he's gay. :upsidedow

bhutocracy 01-23-2008 08:56 AM

For some reason this is one celebrity I actually care about dying. Unlike Anna Nicole or some other talentless hack, I'd actually followed his career since "Two Hands" and really enjoyed his work (besides one or two duds). Batman was going to really cement him as a star too. Really out of left field this one. I don't read gossip rags but he seemed down to earth in interviews and not really into that much partying.. I mean everyone is.. but he wasn't notorious for it.. just kinda flew under the radar and made some really great films. It will be a bit of a loss to not experience his talent in the future. Normally I don't give a shit or aren't particularly shocked enough to care.. It's either people that you're not really surprised about, potentials like Amy Winehouse or don't care about like say, Britney.

SiZzLe 01-23-2008 09:49 AM

That was absolutely shocking...he was very good.
RIP Heath :(

nico-t 01-23-2008 10:41 AM

kb, you dissapoint me dude. I expected this to be an announcment with some casual celebrity namedropping that doesn't have anything to do with the topic.

something like:

'i was hanging out with al pacino, johnny depp and snoop dogg when my buddy steven spielberg returned from the bar to get me a drink and just had picked up on the sad news.'

Yep. They said he had pneumonia. That CAN kill you. My dad nearly died of it himself when he was about 30.

Sad story x 10!

CDSmith 01-23-2008 09:22 PM

His acting as Skip in Lords of Dogtown was phenominal. He transformed himself and totally became that guy.

That role sealed him as a great actor in my mind.
