designing a member's area is no different than designing the tour. the member's area files are just in a password protected folder on your server (i.e. www.yoursites/members.php).

your credit card processor (i.e. ccbill, epoch) sets up the login script for you.

He's correct. Though I'd recommend implementing a bit more security since simple popup login scripts are simple to crack. Any 14 year old "hacker" can run a brute force script and get passwords within minutes.

It takes more time and effort to set up initially but in order to make updates easier you should use a CMS (content management system). However, if it's a relatively small members area that is update say once a week, you could certainly do it with html.

Get a CCBill account and they will fix you up.

CCBill will control the user access with a password system for you.

They will also collect the money from the user and pay you.

They will htaccess the members area for you, if you don't know how so bots and surfers don't run wild in your members area.

You can also have a webmaster affiliate program with the CCBill option...

And you can enable the webmaster referral link so I can add you to CCBill Sponsor Programs in the future.

                Good luck!
