What does it matter? The sun is going to explode in 6 years, and we are all going to die. Let's just give it all up, and have a big orgy.

hopefully the cable companies will start making money on their internet services with this change. i mean, the other options are for them to stop providing the service or charge a whole lot more to everyone.
me, i'll probably get a DSL line along with the cable line. edit: hahahaha. consumer advocate. haha. Jeff Chester is funny. "Now all of a sudden the digital toll booth is running. Every time [customers] access a website, every time they want to download a movie file or a music file, they're going to start being charged lots of money." yeah, i'm sure visiting google will cost them at least $50. rotfl.

There is a reason why Canadian broadband is much better then the US, this has always been the way it is here. Most companies here have a 5/10 gig down, 1/2 gig up. Most don't enforce their limits unless you go way over it. That way the average user isn't effected, and prices are around $25US/month for 1.5mbps DSL or cable. One cable company here used to charge $50 CDN ($30 US) a gig over your limit. most are in the $5 CDN ($3US) over your limit. What does this mean? Don't download shitloads off of kazaa and don't share on it. Kazaa and other p2p will HELP the adult industry if they are shut down. Want bangbus movies? download them off of kazaa. Want DVD quality Porn? Download off of Kazaa. They have better stuff then Paysites for $50US a month have! People will join and rebill longer if they can't get all the movies they want for free

And who pays for all of the garbage that the firewall throws away? My modem is flashing so hard that the data light is almost solid....

the longer those 70-80 % of surfers stay on dial-up the better for this industry. you don't want them downloading all your movie content in a day and canceling their membership do you?

I just got on cable from regular dial up. In fact i am still on the 3 months for $29.95 trial, then $49.95/month.
These jackoffs at comcast raise this anymore and they will get it back. I only got on cable because the phone company was screwing with me about the time I had on the phone, canceled the extra phone line (for computer) and a cell phone I wasn't even using but never got around to canceling. They raise this and I will cancel cable TV and internet too, fuck them. I can get satelite. How is it all these big corporations never make any money always got the poor mouth, until they want to sell you their stock? then they are making tons of money. Ever hear a drug dealer say "we had a bad year"? and we got a "War on Drugs" Maybe they ought to let the drug dealers run these companies? at least they make money and don't complain. |
